As the new growth matures it turns bright yellow and new growth appears vividly orange. When you add in its deep purple flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer, you’ve got a plant that is show stopping. It is deer resistant and low maintenance.
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates a wide range of soils. Remove faded flower clusters to promote additional bloom. Prune in late winter to early spring.
