Quick Overview:

Pinus strobus ‘Angel Falls’ is a striking newer selection of Eastern white pine. ‘Angel Falls’ is a weeping white pine that is purported to be slower growing and with denser branching than the similar, Pinus strobus ‘Pendula’. If left unstaked, specimens will grow into a dense upright mound. Most often these are presented as strictly upright weepers. Lateral branches will cascade abruptly downward from the trunk. The lead shoot will finally knuckle over from the highest point of the stake. Regardless of how individual plants are cultivated, terminal shoots will advance at a yearly rate of 8 to 16 inches.

Description

Grow in medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerant of a variety of soils types, including poor soils, as long as the drainage is good. Plants prefer cool summer climates and are best planted in afternoon shade in the south. Plants are generally tolerant of urban conditions.
