Quick Overview:

‘Katsura’ stands above all previous Pieris introductions owing to its unparalleled, wine-red new growth. It will continue to push new, richly colored foliage all summer long. Only as the foliage matures does it become very dark green. In early spring, long racemes of rose-colored flowers cascade over the evergreen foliage, radiating with a sweet floral scent. ?Katsura? lends itself equally to use in foundation plantings, mixed borders, specimen, mass plantings and patio pots.

Description

Best grown in organically rich, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It grows best in locations sheltered from wind with some afternoon shade. Remove spent flowers immediately after bloom.
