Quick Overview:

‘Jefam’, commonly sold under the trademark name of AMBER JUBILEE, is a patented ninebark cultivar that typically matures to 5-6’ tall with a spread to 4’ wide. It is most noted for its foliage color and compact plant habit. ‘Jefam’ features showy orange foliage with yellow veins on new growth in spring and summer before turning purple in fall. Foliage on old wood is green in summer.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)

Description

Easily grown in average, slightly acidic, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun in the northern part or its growing range, but appreciates some afternoon shade in southern areas. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Prune as needed immediately after bloom and no later than mid-August. Plants may be cut close to the ground in winter to rejuvenate. Plants often struggle in the hot and humid summer climates of the deep South in USDA Zones 8-9.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)
