Deep burgundy stems covered in fine, deeply incised dark burgundy-purple leaves with rich green undertones on this full-branching dwarf form. Striking mildew resistant foliage is accented by pale pink button flowers in spring and summer. A useful compact shrub for small urban gardens, mass plantings, or a low maintenance landscape.
Easily grown in average, slightly acidic, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun in the northern part or its growing range, but appreciates some afternoon shade. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions.
