Description
Karley Rose Oriental Fountain Grass is an herbaceous ornamental grass with a shapely form and gracefully arching stems. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage. Trials have revealed that Pennisetum ‘Karley Rose’ is also much more winter hardy than typical Pennisetum orientale. Old foliage should be cut to the ground in March. Drought tolerant once established. Named after Karley Rose, daughter of David Skwiot of Sunny Border Nursery. Its foliage is deep green and arching. Same striking blooms as the species, but rose pink in color. Prefers well-draining soil.
