Take Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Little Bunny’, give its foliage red highlights in summer, add intense-burgundy fall color, and you’ve got a stunning dwarf fountain grass named ‘Burgundy Bunny’. It grows in a compact one-foot mound. In summer, petite bottlebrush plumes rise a bit above the foliage.

Easily grown in average, medium to wet soil in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. Tolerates part shade, but may not flower in too much shade. Cut foliage to the ground in late winter before new shoots appear. Best propagated by division in spring.
