The pads on this lily will come up red and will go to a reddish green as they mature. This medium size plant fits nicely into any size pond and will the talk of any garden party.  This plant loves the full sun and 7+ hours will make it very happy for blooms all summer long.

Description

Easily grown in wet soil in still water in full sun to part shade. Full sun may be best, but plants will usually flower with as little as three hours of sun per day. Plant rhizomes horizontally in spring with bud end up in containers submerged in ponds or water gardens where the water is 12-48″ deep. When planted in containers, plants can be more easily moved later on if desired. Rhizomes may be planted directly in the muddy bottom of a pond.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Gardens Plant Finder)
