Quick Overview:

An improved Catmint, the petite and sweet Nepeta Cat’s Pajamas dashes skyward to flaunt countless lavender flowers from soil line to tips. Aptly named, the 1920’s saying ‘the cat’s pajamas’ is defined as an excellent person or thing. Blooms 2-3 weeks earlier than classic varieties. Long blooming! As flowers begin to fade, the rosy purple calyxes remain to supply an additional splash of color. Seeds are sterile

Description

Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Thrives in dry soils and is very tolerant of drought. Somewhat intolerant of the heat and humidity of the deep South, however, and appreciates some light afternoon shade in hot summer climates. Shear flower spikes after initial flowering to promote continued bloom.
