A compact southern Magnolia with white flowers that are 6 to 8 inches wide in late spring. Medium sized, shiny dark green leaves have reddish-brown hairs on the underside. Will grow 15 to 20 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide.

Description

It is best grown in moist, organically rich, well-drained loams in full sun to part shade. Part shade may be best. It is generally intolerant of soil extremes (dry or wet). It is also intolerant of many urban pollutants. Trees will become quite large over time and should be planted in areas where they can expand.
