Quick Overview:

‘Coral Glow’ is a compact selection of redflower false yucca that features airy, gently arching flowering stalks up to 6′ tall held above clumps of narrow, evergreen basal foliage. The small, tubular flowers have coral-red exteriors with light yellow interiors and can reach up to 1″ long. Very attractive to hummingbirds. This selection does not tend to set seed. ‘Coral Glow’ is the result of a cross between a yellow-flowering form and a red-flowering form of H. parviflora.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Gardens Plant Finder)

Description

Easily grown in dry, sandy, sharply-drained soils in full sun. Thrives in hot, dry, desert conditions, but is also surprisingly winter hardy to USDA Zone 5. The key to growing this plant well is having superior soil drainage. Excellent heat resistance and drought tolerance. Will self-seed in the landscape. May be propagated by clump division. Tolerates urban conditions. (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)
