‘Low Down’ is basically a scaled-down version (shorter plant, shorter leaves and smaller flowers) of Helianthus ‘First Light’. It produces a compact clump of foliage to only 12” tall by 16-20” wide. Foliage is covered in fall (September–October) with a profuse bloom of 2-2.5” diameter sunflowers with golden yellow rays and brown center disks.
