Quick Overview:

BELLEZA™ Dark Pink boasts excellent branching with shorter flower stems, making it an ideal choice for containers. Dark pink, star-shaped flowers have an airy appearance above the compact habit. Gaura are well-suited to dry, hot landscapes and will look great planted en masse in the landscape or singly in pots. BELLEZA™ Dark Pink tolerates part shade but is best in full sun.

Description

Best grown in sandy, loamy, well-drained soil in full sun. Good drainage is essential. A tap-rooted plant which tolerates heat, humidity, some drought and poor soils. Remove spent flower spikes to prolong bloom. Thin flower stems tend to become leggy and flop, particularly when grown in rich soils. Plants often benefit from close planting or support from adjacent perennials. Plants may be cut back in late spring by 1/2 to control size. Although the species will self-seed, this cultivar is sterile. Root rot may occur in heavy, poorly drained soils. Taller plants may need support.
