Quick Overview:

This pineapple lily cultivar features a basal rosette of strap-shaped, linear, dark burgundy leaves which spread to 24″ wide. From each rosette, a thick flower stalk rises to 20″ tall in mid to late summer bearing masses of tiny, starry, purplish flowers in a dense raceme topped by a tuft of greenish bracts blushed with burgundy. Raceme flowers bloom bottom to top over a long 6-8 week bloom period. Overall flower effect is reminiscent of pineapple, hence the common name.
