Quick Overview:

Sandy Claws is a unique evergreen knockout of a perennial. The large, glossy leaves are of heavy substance, up to 6″ long and very spiny. New leaves are bronze to dark purple tinged, adding to the spectacle and creating the perfect backdrop for the soft yellow flowers. These are borne in dense clusters, which is unusual for Epimedium.

Description

Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in part shade to full shade. Prefers loose, organically rich loams with even moisture in part shade. Tolerates drought once established. Evergreen in mild winter climates. Cut back any remaining old foliage in late winter.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Gardens Plant Finder)
