Quick Overview:

Yet another amazing breakthrough in colour, this remarkable hybrid Coneflower features deep burnt-orange petals surrounding a large cinnamon brown button-shaped cone. Flowers are slightly smaller than Big Sky™ ‘Sunset’ but richer in colour. Blooms are delightfully fragrant, the plants well-branched, strong and bushy in habit. Ideal for sunny borders and growing in mixed containers. Attractive to butterflies. Excellent for cutting. Coneflowers begin blooming in midsummer and continue for months if faded flowers are regularly removed.

Description

Easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Best in full sun. This is an adaptable plant that is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity and poor soil. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). Plants rebloom well without deadheading, however prompt removal of spent flowers encourages continued bloom and improves general appearance.  Allow some seedheads to remain if you want the plants to reseed and for the birds.
