Quick Overview:

This South African alpine succulent has buttery yellow flowers in summer against bright green 3" tall tight mounds. Foliage transforms to reddish-maroon in winter. Appreciates some afternoon shade in hot summers and requires a little more moisture than other Delosperma. Blends well with Sedum in rock garden settings but can be used as low edge plantings as well.

Description

Grow in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Prefers a dryish, sandy soil. Good soil drainage is essential for the plant, particularly in winter where moist to wet soils can be fatal. Avoid over-watering. Needs more water than most ice plants.
