A useful, virtually problem-free evergreen shrub for part to full shade areas of the landscape.  This plum yew exhibits a vase shaped habit 3′-4′ high and wide.  Drought tolerant once established.

Best grown in moist, well-drained soils in shady areas of the landscape. Tolerates shady conditions better than most needled evergreens. Tolerates full sun in cool summers, but prefers part to full shade conditions in areas with hot summers. Plants have good heat tolerance. Established plants tolerate some drought.
