Quick Overview:

A beauty and fast grower in the garden, ‘Autumn Rocket’ is an upright, narrow growing fall flowering Camellia sasanqua featuring abundant, anemone-like pure white flowers with tightly ruffled creamy, soft yellow center petals in fall. Its narrow form allows for use in smaller garden spaces where other varieties won’t fit. The shiny, finely toothed, deep green foliage is a wonderful backdrop and contrast for the bright white flowers.

Description

This evergreen shrub is typically grown in moist, acidic, organically rich, well-drained soils with consistent moisture in part shade locations. Established plants do well with moderate but even moisture. Plants appreciate protection from direct hot summer afternoon sun. They thrive in sun-dappled part shade conditions under the protection of tree canopies. Protect from strong winds. Apply a root mulch (leaves or shredded bark). Prune after flowering. Prune to thin branching and to control size and shape. Plants may be effectively grown in tubs or other large containers. (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)
