Quick Overview:

Athyrium ‘Metallicum’ is a selection of Japanese painted fern with a silver metallic overlay to go with nice purple tones and reddish stems and veins. It is an excellent grower with an arching and mounding habit that looks best in groups. Plant it in dappled to full shade for the best color.

Description

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soils in part shade to full shade. Prefers rich moist soils. Leaf scorch and general foliage decline will occur if soils are allowed to dry out.
