A beautiful and extremely rare Japanese Maple, ‘Yellow Princess’ provides a wonderful show of color all year around on a smallish upright tree. Small golden leaves emerge in spring gradually darkening to light to medium green shades in summer that contrast beautifully with the bright yellow branches and stems. With the arrival of cooler temperatures in fall the leaves turn to stunning shades of gold and ember. As the cool season progresses the golden bark darkens to fiery hues or orange and red, returning to golden-yellow as temperatures warm back up in spring. Vigrous and easy to grow in the ground or containers, Yellow Princess is a colorful and captivating accent tree in small to medium size landscape spaces, home foundation plantings, or on or around patios and other outdoor living spaces
Easily grown in moist, organically rich, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Prefers lightly sun dappled part shade. Avoid hot and dry sites.
