Shojo no mai is one of the best variegated Acer palmatum maples with spring color. The attractive small irregularly leaves are gray green with deep pink edging. In our opinion, Shojo no mai grows stronger than Beni schichihenge and has more vibrant colors. Color holds well into the summer. Name means “dancing red face monkey” in Japanese.
