Kihachijo is a dependable hardy cultivar with lovely serrated leaves and fall color in tones of yellow rose red and peach. Gray-green bark become white-striped with age. Graceful form. Leafs out a little later than most Japanese maples.

Description

Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers lightly dappled shade. Leaves may scorch in full sun in hot southern summers.
