Quick Overview:

A small specimen, patio tree with dense foliage used for screening.  Often rounded habitat.  Shape is variable and can be successfully tailored to specific landscape requirements by pruning.  Used en masse on blank walls of large buildings. Easy to transplant; relatively pest-free; casts dense shade.  Quite adaptable to a wide range of soils and pH ranges.  Performs best in well drained soil.  It withstands heaving pruning and can be successfully grown as a container plant.  (Courtesy of the Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)
