‘Englishtown’ is a dwarf red Japanese maple with smaller foliage than a typical red Japanese maple. The spring foliage is a bright red in the spring, turning to a maroon red, before turning to green red. Red new growth during the summer definitely adds nice summer interest. Fall color is a bright scarlet red.
Easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers lightly dappled shade. Leaves may scorch in full sun in hot southern summers.
