Flame Thrower® Eastern Redbud came from JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, NC. The striking foliage emerges reddish burgundy and rapidly matures to yellow and green, giving a multicolor effect. The pink blooms appear on the bare stems before the foliage emerges. A really striking small specimen tree, especially in late spring and early summer.
