Quick Overview:

Frosty Abelia features dainty clusters of lightly-scented white tubular flowers with pink calyxes at the ends of the branches in late spring. It has attractive dark green foliage edged in white with hints of grayish green. The glossy oval leaves are highly ornamental and turn an outstanding purple in the fall.

Description

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Best flowering in full sun. Prefers moist, organically rich soils which drain well. Nearly evergreen in the South. Blooms on new wood, so prune as needed (e.g., remove stems lost to winter and, if desired, thin to the ground up to 1/3 of old stems) in late winter to early spring.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Garden Plant Finder)
