At home in shade or sun, Avondale blue wood aster is a lovely early fall bloomer. Small, daisy-like flowers of pale blue with cheerful yellow centers completely envelop the plant. In the sun, it has an open upright habit and can reach 3’ tall when flowering. In the shade this aster has a more relaxed attitude, arching over to weave among neighboring plants.
