Sedum kamtschaticum cv. ‘Weihenstephaner Gold’ (formerly Sedum floriferum) has semi-evergreen, dark green, elongated fleshy leaves with a deep serrated edge in a whorl around the stem. Showy yellow flowers cover the top of the plant in early- to late-summer.

The foliage takes on reddish tints around the edges in hot, dry conditions especially towards autumn. This makes a spectacular trailing or ground-hugging background for the clusters of gold and bronze-orange tinted flowers. It grows well in cracks and crevices in walls and pavements.
