Quick Overview:

Lavender pink flowers. Why is this called Obedient Plant? When flower spikes are in full bloom, you can push the snapdragon-like flowers to hold any position you fancy to give them – very helpful when in an arrangement. Flowers are in vertical rows up the spikes and open sequentially from bottom to top. Attractive green seed capsules follow the flowers and can be hung to dry to enhance dried floral arrangements.

Description

Easily grown in average, moist, acidic, well-drained soils in full sun. Stems tend to flop in rich soils, too much shade or hot summer temperatures. Taller plants may need staking. Tolerates wet soils and some part shade.  (Courtesy of Missouri Botanical Gardens Plant Finder)
