Slow-growing shrub. Growth emerges bright red and turns a pinkish color with silver edges. Pink gives way to green in summer, maintaining silvery edges through summer and winter. Weakly fragrant urn-shaped white flowers in 3-5" pendulous panicles March-April. Good drainage important to success.


Best grown in organically rich, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade.It grows best in locations sheltered from wind with some afternoon shade. Remove spent flowers immediately after bloom.
